Cherry

"Why are you so fragile, mon cherie!"
So said he, after breaking me.

Musings of a rainy day

What is this need to be tethered but free?
Is it selfish, unrealistic or tad narcissistic?
Or just how love actually should be.

Journey

and so they shook hands
and wished they would meet again---
Chatty travellers.

Cherry Blossom

I saw you on a cherry blossom day.
You were just as radiant as fragile.
And just like that you vanished.
Were you magic?
Or just a fleeting wish
Of my springing heart.

Retrospect

"You were like the sea. Constantly rolling in and out.
Ever changing and never at peace. All that salty ebb and flow tired me out!"

She said with that trademark smirk he so loved.
Loves.

He just chuckled.
And wished he could tell her that she was the moon, making it all happen.

Is still the moon.

Pity Again

Wish we had smiled

At each other's twinkling eyes

While passing by.

But neither did you

Nor I.

A heart that's whole

They say broken hearts sing the best songs.

But no.

I'm waiting for that divine music

Written with utter exhilaration

By a soul which has conquered

Love.

Waiting

The world at his feet.

But he played only for her.

And waited for the day

When she would understand.

Happy

Let's walk down a long unknown road.
Sometimes side by side,
Sometimes falling behind.
Sometimes walking ahead,
And then turning back smiling,
For the other to catch up.
Sometimes holding hands,
Sometimes not. But that's okay.
As long as we have matching happy steps.

A Parting Wish

The tears should not be of pain, regret, anger or ill will.
It should roll for the happy times that we spent,
For the love that we showered each other,
Even in our fights.
It should be of the laughter that we shared for all those long years
And should make us smile even while leaving our eyes,
For a life well lived.
A sad smile perhaps.
But smile it must be.
For it's proof that meeting each other was indeed a miracle and a blessing.
That's my wish for us,
When we part.
